Interesting article

I had to find an article about metabolism online and summarize it for a homework assignment. I stumbled across this one and thought you guys might be interested in it. I didn't know we could lose weight by being fidgety...I'm upping my coffee consumption!!! :)

Given it UP!

Hey guys...I think I am gonna give up the weight watchers website. It takes some time to keep up with everything, and redue tickers each week - and without a lot of participation .... I just don't feel like it is really worth the added effort. Don't get me wrong - I am not giving up weight watchers! I am down 12 pounds.. the best I've done in a long time! I just don't feel like people have the time to participate in the MothersInc message boards, and the WW website. Thought it would have been a bit more successful...a bit bummed myself! See you at some functions! Jenn

PS - Don't let this change your drive though! You guys are doing fabulous on your weight loss. Keep up the great work!

First Month Statistics!!

I know it is a total pain to click on everyones tickers... so I thought every month I would post a summary as to how everyone is doing. Here's the stats:

You have to remember... some of us had good days and bad days but EVERYONE is on the plus side.... AWESOME LADIES!! Let's set some goals for ourselves. I want everyone to post one goal that they want to accomplish within the next month for dieting!! Jenn

IT"S BEEN ONE MONTH!!



Hey ladies - One month down already... how's it going? I have seen some great results - and even starting to notice some of your changes when I see you guys in person!! WAY TO GO!! I on the other hand =- had a horrible week... Bday and Father's Day was too much for me... I didn't have the wilpower that I needed! I have to work today but will put in my weight and update the tickers when I get home!! Spill your guts ladies...

4th week weight loss:

Jennifer: 0 lbs - woohoo! I am LUCKY!!
Angel:
Catherine: 4 lbs (to be fair, I'm using a new scale- it may be off from the other scale I was using. But I'll take it!!)
Laurie: 1 lb. (I'll take anything!)
Julia: 1.5 lbs
Zoë: 4 lbs (yay, back on track!)
Christy: 0

Monthly meeting?

Hey guys!
A few posts back, some of us were talking about a possibility of meeting every month or so. I'm more than happy to host something in July- when are you guys available? I was thinking about working with the core group first- those of us who check on the website regularly- then posting it on the MothersINC page. My main priority is trying to get all of us together, then dealing with everybody else. So start throwing out dates/times, and I'll see what we can come up with!

Update on members!

Hey guys - just wanted to update you on our WW memebers. Lindsay has decided that now is just not the best time to do the WW program so she's asked me to pull her name. I haven't heard from Erica or Crystal at all - so I sent them an email saying that I was going to remove there names.... but as soon as they are ready to join up again - I would love to set them back up! (It just takes so much time updating all the tickers and stuff... I am trying to just keep it for people that are really regular and committed!) Talk to you guys soon... Jenn

How's everyone doing this week so far?

Ok, so it's only Tuesday evening but I thought I would check into to see how things are going for everyone.

This is the best start of the weeks I've had in weeks!!!! I think I'm actually back on track which is nice. Today the boys and I were going to meet Thomas for lunch and I chose Subway (very low points for me). Well Dairy Queen is right NEXT DOOR to Subway and I could smell those hamburgers grill'n. MMMMMMMM I couldn't take it and walked into Dairy Queen but then my two angels chimed in and started saying "SUBWAY, SUBWAY~Want SUBWAY!". Whew!!!! That was a close one~we left before ordering and I had my 7 pt lunch next door. I felt really good~Thanks to Cade and Grayson!!!

I made wheat spaghetti and sauce for dinner. MAN, you can get a plate full of that stuff for next to nothing! Very filling too. I only ended up eating 1/2 a cup of spaghetti and less than 1/2 cup of sauce and treated myself to nonfat, sugarfree vanilla latte from Starbucks for dessert. I haven't figured my pts for today yet but I know I still have some to spare.

Anyway, that's the start of my week in a nutshell. Hope you all are doing great!!!

WEEk 3 WEIGH IN!!



Week 3 already..can you believe it? Time sure does fly when you're having fun!! LOL! So far - everyone that I have talked to has been right on track this week. I am soooo proud of everyone! Hope this website is a big help for you. Any suggestions or new ideas that you think we should try? Let me know what your weigh ins are for this week so I can update the tickers!! I noticed that some people are just going in and editing this post to add on their weight - that's awesome!! Saves me some time... it takes quite a while to do those tickers - but I sure do think it is worth it to see that number going... down...down... down! Jenn

New memeber (well - sorta)

I know most of us know each other already...but I just wanted to introduce another person who has been checking out our website - it's my mom - LINDA! She's not sure she wants a ticker yet but has started doing weight watchers and uses our site for references and encouragement....SHE'S AWESOME! (Well - I am a little biased) Actually - the funny pictures that I just posted up -= came from her! I know some of you guys had said that you had passed the website along...is there anyone else that we should acknowledge?? Jennifer

My birthday is June 13th and my mom bought this for me and had is shipped to the house. I've always wanted one - a magic mirror. I think Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez have one too!! It must be a Jennifer thing!! LOL

Hey guys -

How's everybody doing this week...it seems like this week has just flown by with different activiites that I haven't had time to post on here at all!! Anyways - everybodies tickers should be updated... sorry Zoe it took so long! Can you believe it is almost weigh in day already.

Anybody found any new favorite food items or links that they want to talk about? Frustrations... Accomplishments -let's just lay it out there ladies!! LOL

I thought of something that might keep us motivated too. I am sure not everybody is gung hoe about this idea - but VISUAL things work for some people and others it doesn't. I think it would be cool if we took a picture of ourselves now...like in biker shorts or whatever you have that might be fitting a bit snug so you can see the outline of your body (swimsuit...tank top...whatever). Before everyone looses their cool... Don't worry - WE ARE NOT GOING TO POST IT ON THE WEBSITE!!! Use this as motivation. Put it up on your fridge (but remember to hide it when company comes over) or your bathroom mirror, your wallet, your computer screen - where ever you are most and let it remind you of the body that you DON'T WANT ANYMORE. Another version of this is ----- take out one of your older skinny pictures and place it somewhere so you see it ... it will make you want to work harder. I know this isn't going to be for everybody - but it sure is motivation for me!! Can wait to hear how your week is going...keep me posted! Jennifer
